How to Style a Dry Urli Display with Peacock and Lotus Decor

A decorative bowl can be enough to make an entryway console feel ready for guests. Our new peacock urli bowls and lotus stands offer a few different shapes to work with. Start with one design you enjoy, then leave enough space around it to see the details.

Choose a bowl or a raised pair

The peacock urli bowl with five cups has a shallow, dimpled center with five attached ornamental cups around it. For a different outline, compare the small peacock urli with seven cups and the urli bowl with eight cups. These cup counts describe the attached parts of each bowl, not separate clay diyas.

If you prefer a taller arrangement, the peacock urli stands come as a pair. Each stand has two lotus bowls at different heights, giving you four bowls across the two stands. The lotus-stem candle holders are another paired option, with a lotus-shaped bowl, a leaf and a small flower branch on each stand.

Check the space before choosing

Decide whether the display will sit on a console, shelf or side table. Leave the front edge clear and keep the arrangement out of the path of bags, sleeves and serving dishes. For a dining table, sit down and check that a taller pair will not block the person opposite you.

Exact dimensions are not listed for every new piece. If the fit matters, ask us for the measurements before ordering. A hand-held photo helps show the design, but it is not a substitute for a measurement.

Build a dry display in three steps

  1. Set the bowl or stands on a stable surface with a protective layer underneath.
  2. Try a small amount of dry petals in the center. Leave some of the gold-colored surface visible so the shape remains clear.
  3. Where a cup has a suitable fit, try a small flameless LED tea light. Keep it removable and follow the light maker's instructions.

Water-tightness and suitability for open flames have not been verified for the urli bowls. Keep these displays dry and use flowers or flameless lighting rather than filling them with water or lighting the ornamental cups.

Know the finish and included contents

These are decorative metal pieces with a gold-colored finish. The exact metal composition is unconfirmed, and they are not sold as solid brass. Actual product photos show small marks, seams and uneven areas in the finish. Some styled photos have enhanced backgrounds and lighting; compare the detail photos before choosing.

Flowers, petals and lights are not included with the bowls or stands. Keep the pieces dry and wipe gently with a soft cloth after your celebration. Explore the new arrivals to compare each design and its exact pack contents.
